Benadryl allergy relief from symptoms of hayfever and other allergic conditions such as pet or dust allergies, these include sneezing, stuffy or runny nose, watery or itchy eyes, itchy nose and throat. It can also be used to treat the symptoms of urticaria, also know as hives, where the skin looks blotchy<\/a>, like nettle rash, with white raised wheals (bumps) surrounded by redness.<\/div>\n

The product is a white gelatine capsule, available in blister packs of 12 and 24 capsules.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

How to take benadryl allergy relief<\/h3>\n

Use\u00a0Benadryl (Diphenhydramine)<\/span>\u00a0exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.<\/p>\n

For motion sickness<\/i>, take diphenhydramine 30 minutes before you will be in a situation that causes you motion sickness (such as a long car ride, airplane or boat travel, amusement park rides, etc). Continue taking diphenhydramine with meals and at bedtime for the rest of the time you will be in a motion-sickness situation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As a sleep aid<\/i>, take diphenhydramine within 30 minutes before bedtime.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You must chew the before you swallow it.\u00a0chewable tablet<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Measure carefully. Use the dosing syringe provided, or use a medicine dose-measuring device (not a kitchen spoon).\u00a0liquid medicine<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Remove an from the package only when you are ready to take the medicine. Place the tablet in your mouth and allow it to dissolve, without chewing. Swallow several times as the tablet dissolves.\u00a0orally disintegrating tablet<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Do not use diphenhydramine for longer than 2 weeks to treat sleep problems, or longer than 7 days to treat cold or allergy symptoms.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This medicine can affect the results of allergy skin tests. Tell any doctor who treats you that you are using diphenhydramine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Taking too much diphenhydramine can lead to serious heart problems, seizures, coma, or death.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Always follow directions on the medicine label about giving diphenhydramine to a child.
